Enoch Precision Machining and Clackamas Community College (CCC) have a long history and working relationship that goes back several decades. Once again partnering up, Enoch was invited to campus to be a part of an advisory committee, focusing on CCC’s Manufacturing curriculum and the development of their new Industrial Technical Center.

On March 14th, 2018, Enoch’s Director of Manufacturing, John Rhodes, and Director of HR, Mike Dawes, met with industry leaders, CCC faculty, and the Department of Manufacturing Chair, Mike Mattson, for a round table discussion on the future of manufacturing. Enoch and the other industry partners provided input on machining industry trends, required skills and knowledge for future employees and machinery recommendations for the new facility. Lastly, it was discussed how we can use our partnerships to continue helping each other in business and education.

At the end of the discussion, participants were invited on a tour of the new 44,000+ sq. ft. Industrial Technical Center. The new facility triples the amount of CNC equipment, significantly increases classroom sizes, provides more student social/study area and ensures plenty of room for future growth. The building is due for completion in June of 2018 and classes will start in the fall of 2018.

Enoch Precision Machining is proud to be a part of this new opportunity with Clackamas Community College to develop tomorrow’s machinists!
